About the Badge

Celebrate the proud heritage of the Royal Military Police with this officially licensed King’s Crown Cap Badge Display Frame. The RMP is the corps responsible for policing, law enforcement, and security within the British Army, with a history stretching back to the Provost Marshal appointments of the 17th century. Formally constituted as the Corps of Military Police in 1926 and granted the Royal prefix in 1946, the RMP has served in every major British campaign — from the Second World War and Northern Ireland to the Gulf, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The Royal Military Police are traditionally known as the Redcaps.

This precision display frame faithfully reproduces the Corps’ distinctive King’s Crown insignia in full colour, presented within a premium deep box frame against a professionally pigment-printed Corps backing. The badge and backing are carefully hand mounted, with each finished display individually assembled in Leicestershire.

The cap badge features the King’s Crown (Tudor Crown) at the top, representing service during the reign of His Majesty King Charles III. At the centre, a Royal Cypher is framed by a circular Laurel Wreath symbolising honour and achievement, with a scroll at the base bearing the inscription Royal Military Police.
