4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards Cap Badge Display Frame

Official MOD-Licensed Military Heritage Display Piece

Honour the distinguished legacy of the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards with this officially licensed Cap Badge Display Frame. Formed in 1922 by the amalgamation of the 4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards and the 7th Dragoon Guards (Princess Royal's), the regiment went on to earn enduring fame on 6 June 1944 when its tanks were among the first armoured units to land on Gold Beach on D-Day. The regiment served with great distinction throughout the Second World War and continued to serve the Crown until 1992, when it amalgamated with the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards to form the Royal Dragoon Guards.

This precision display frame faithfully reproduces the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards' distinctive cap badge in full colour, hand-finished in authentic regimental colours and ready to hang straight from the box.

About the Badge

The 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards cap badge is an intricate, multi-part insignia that pays tribute to the regiment's 1922 amalgamation. At its base sits a die-struck, rayed eight-pointed star. Overlaid at the centre is a frosted circular band — the regimental circlet — inscribed with the motto Quis Separabit ('Who Shall Separate Us?') and the Roman numerals MCMXXII (1922), marking the year the regiment was formed. Within the circlet, a pierced frosted St George's Cross is set, and superimposed directly over its centre is the Coronet of the Princess Royal — a direct tribute to the 7th Dragoon Guards' historic title as the Princess Royal's regiment. Together, these elements make the badge one of the most heraldically rich in the British cavalry tradition.

Frequently Asked Questions

At Precision Military Emblems, our military badges and emblems are produced using advanced precision 3D printing technology to create highly detailed reproductions of military insignia. Unlike many manufacturers who prioritise speed, we use refined print settings and slower production processes to minimise visible layer lines and maximise accuracy. Each badge is carefully finished and quality inspected to ensure exceptional detail, depth, and definition.

When choosing a 3D military display, it is important to consider the accuracy of the badge reproduction, the quality of the craftsmanship, and the materials used throughout the display. Look for highly detailed reproductions rather than mass-produced replicas. You should also ensure the manufacturer is authorised to reproduce military insignia where required. Precision Military Emblems operates under official Ministry of Defence (MOD) licensing where applicable, ensuring displays are produced responsibly and to a professional standard.

All Precision Military Emblems displays are individually made to order. Standard production lead times are typically 5–10 working days before dispatch. Because we use precision 3D printing with enhanced quality settings, production takes longer than many standard manufacturing methods. Once dispatched, UK orders are usually delivered within 1–3 working days. Tracking information is provided with every order.
