Formed in April 1992, the Adjutant General's Corps brought together specialist Army organisations responsible for personnel administration, military policing, detention, legal services and education. The British Army records its forming elements as the Royal Army Pay Corps, Corps of Royal Military Police, Military Provost Staff Corps, Royal Army Educational Corps, Army Legal Corps and staff clerks from the Royal Army Ordnance Corps.

This Queen's Crown version features the St Edward's Crown pattern associated with the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and represents the original crown pattern used by the Corps following its formation.
