About the Badge
The Cheshire Regiment was a British Army infantry unit formed in 1689. Its lineage was carried into The Mercian Regiment in 2007.
This precision display frame presents a high-definition 3D-printed reproduction of the Cheshire Regiment cap badge against a professionally pigment-printed regimental backing. The badge and backing are carefully hand mounted, with each finished display individually assembled in Leicestershire.
The Cheshire Regiment cap badge features an eight-pointed star around a band inscribed with the unit title, with an acorn between oak leaves at the centre. The acorn-and-oak device is traditionally associated with the regiment's service at Dettingen in 1743.
