About the Badge

The Coldstream Guards were formed in 1650 and are the oldest continuously serving regiment in the regular British Army. The regiment combines ceremonial duties with an infantry role. An ordinary soldier is a Guardsman, a member of the regiment a Coldstreamer, and the regiment’s traditional nickname is the Lilywhites.
