King's Own Royal Border Regiment 3D Printed Cap Badge
Official MOD-Licensed Display Piece

A proud tribute to the King's Own Royal Border Regiment — a distinguished line infantry regiment of the British Army, formed on 1 October 1959 at Barnard Castle, County Durham, from the amalgamation of the King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) and the Border Regiment. Part of the King's Division, the regiment was headquartered at Carlisle Castle, Cumbria, and served with honour across the world before being amalgamated into the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (King's, Lancashire and Border) on 1 July 2006. Its proud Border and Lancastrian heritage endures. Precision-printed and ready to hang straight out of the box.

About the Badge

The King's Own Royal Border Regiment cap badge unites the proud histories of its two antecedent regiments in a single striking design. At its centre sits the Lion of England — a Royal Lion statant guardant — representing the King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster). Encircling the lion is a Laurel Wreath, honouring the 34th (Cumberland) Regiment of Foot, part of the former Border Regiment, for their distinguished actions at the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745. The badge is presented on a red background, faithfully reflecting how it was traditionally worn on the beret and service dress. Together, these elements reflect the regiment's deep Lancastrian and Border county heritage and its centuries of service to the Crown.
