About the Cypher

The Life Guards are the senior regiment of the British Army and one of the two regiments of the Household Cavalry, alongside The Blues and Royals. Their history reaches back to the Restoration of Charles II in 1660. The two regiments retain their distinct identities and traditions while serving together in operational and mounted ceremonial roles.

The device features the reversed and interlaced letters LG, the regimental cypher of The Life Guards, beneath a crowned lion standing on a crown. A blue scroll carries the regiment's name. This display reproduces the King's Crown version of The Life Guards regimental cypher.

The raised, full-colour emblem is presented against the white, scarlet-red, dark-blue and white backing in a deep shadow-box frame. This listing is for the complete regimental-colours framed display.

Ideal For

• Retirement, leaving and service gifts.

The images showing the backing without the emblem illustrate the regimental colours. Your finished display includes the mounted Life Guards cypher.
