About REME
Celebrate the proud heritage of the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers with this officially licensed Queen's Crown cap badge. Established in October 1942, REME brought together specialist technical personnel to improve the British Army's maintenance and repair organisation during the Second World War. The Corps remains responsible for maintaining, recovering and repairing the Army's vehicles, weapons and equipment. Private soldiers of REME hold the rank title Craftsman.
