About the Badge

The Fusiliers grenade badge is a composite design uniting the heritage of four proud English Fusiliers regiments. A flaming grenade — the historic symbol of all Fusiliers soldiers since the 17th century — bears St George and the Dragon at its centre (inherited from the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers), encircled by a Laurel Wreath drawn from the Lancashire Fusiliers, and surmounted by the Queen’s Crown representing service during the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (1953–2022).
