About the Badge
Celebrate the heritage of The Light Dragoons with this officially licensed King's Crown Cap Badge Display Frame.
The Light Dragoons was formed in 1992 by amalgamating the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary's Own) and the 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars. It is a light cavalry regiment specialising in reconnaissance.
This display features a precision reproduction of the distinctive King's Crown Light Dragoons cap badge, presented within a premium deep box frame against a professionally pigment-printed regimental backing. The badge and backing are carefully hand mounted, with each finished display individually assembled in Leicestershire.
The Light Dragoons cap badge takes the form of a Maltese Cross with the regimental initials LD within a circlet bearing the two inherited Latin mottoes Viret in aeternum and Merebimur, surmounted by a crown surmounted by a lion, within a wreath. This frame reproduces the King's Crown version of the MOD-licensed regimental design.
