About the Badge

The National Army Museum records a sealed-pattern other-ranks' Light Dragoons cap badge from 1993. The bi-metal badge is in the form of a Maltese Cross with the regimental initials LD within a circlet bearing the Latin motto Viret in Aeternum Merebimur, surmounted by a crown surmounted by a lion, within a wreath. This frame reproduces the King's Crown version of the MOD-licensed regimental design.
