About the Badge
The Ulster Defence Regiment cap badge centres on a Maid of Erin-style Irish harp surmounted by St Edward's Crown. The design was derived from the badge tradition of the Royal Ulster Rifles but omits that regiment's Latin motto, giving the UDR a simple and distinctive Irish regimental emblem.
