About the Badge
The National Army Museum's record for a c.1949–1952 other-ranks WRAC cap badge describes a laurel wreath surmounted by a monarchial crown, with a pierced white-metal lioness rampant within the wreath. The Museum explains that the wreath and crown continue the badge tradition of the Auxiliary Territorial Service, while the lioness symbolises the service of women.
