About the Badge
Celebrate the heritage of the Royal Welch Fusiliers (RWF) with this officially licensed cap badge display frame. Raised in 1689, the regiment recruited primarily in North Wales. In 2006, it amalgamated with the Royal Regiment of Wales to form The Royal Welsh.
This display features a precision reproduction of the Royal Welch Fusiliers’ distinctive cap badge in full colour, presented within a premium deep box frame against a professionally pigment-printed regimental backing. The badge and backing are carefully hand mounted, with each finished display individually assembled in Leicestershire.
The Royal Welch Fusiliers cap badge takes the form of a flaming fusilier grenade. On the ball of the grenade is the Prince of Wales’s device — three feathers emerging from a coronet with the motto Ich Dien (I Serve) — surrounded by the regimental title. The coronet belongs to the Prince of Wales device; there is no separate Sovereign’s Crown above the badge.
