About the Badge

At approximately 250 mm × 240 mm × 30 mm, this is a large-format 3D wall display rather than a service-wear metal badge. It is precision produced in Silk PLA and supplied with an integrated keyhole mount, ready to hang straight from the box.
The Light Infantry was formed in 1968 from four established county light infantry regiments and served until its amalgamation into The Rifles in 2007, carrying forward Britain's long light infantry tradition.
The Light Infantry cap badge features a silver-coloured stringed bugle horn, the traditional symbol of British light infantry. The badge was normally worn on a distinctive red cloth backing, an inherited regimental tradition associated with the regiment's antecedents.
