About the Star

The Household Division Queen's Crown Star Badge is the collective formation emblem of the Household Division. It consists of an eight-pointed rayed silver star bearing a red circlet inscribed with the Division's motto Septem Juncta In Uno ("Seven Joined in One"). At its centre is the Queen's Crown (St Edward's Crown), identifying this version as the pattern associated with the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Unlike the individual cap badges worn by the regiments of the Household Division, the Household Division Star Badge is a formation emblem representing the unity of the seven regiments that comprise the Division. It is closely associated with the Household Division's ceremonial responsibilities, including Trooping the Colour, the Changing of the Queen's Guard, State Visits and other ceremonial duties carried out in service to the Sovereign.
