About the Badge
Celebrate the heritage of the Royal Corps of Transport with this officially licensed Queen's Crown Cap Badge.
Established in 1965, the Royal Corps of Transport was formed by bringing together the Transportation and Movement Control Service of the Corps of Royal Engineers and the transport functions of the Royal Army Service Corps. Responsible for moving soldiers and materiel around the world, the Corps served until 1993, when it became part of the newly formed Royal Logistic Corps.
This precision 3D-printed display piece reproduces the distinctive Royal Corps of Transport Queen's Crown cap badge in a full-colour Silk PLA finish. An integrated keyhole mount is built into the reverse, allowing the badge to be displayed directly on a wall.
The Royal Corps of Transport Queen's Crown cap badge is built around an eight-pointed rayed star surmounted by a crown. At the centre is a laurel wreath enclosing the blue Garter bearing the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, with the EIIR Royal Cypher of Queen Elizabeth II set against a red ground. Beneath the Garter is the ROYAL CORPS OF TRANSPORT title scroll.
