About the Badge

The cap badge of the Royal Irish Rangers features a winged Irish harp surmounted by the Maid of Erin, beneath St Edward's Crown, with the regimental title displayed on the scroll beneath.

The Maid of Erin is the traditional female figure associated with Irish military insignia, and the harp and Crown carry a historic association with the Order of St Patrick, founded by King George III in 1783.

The Gold, Silver & Black finish highlights the sculpted detail of the Crown, harp, Maid of Erin figure, strings and regimental scroll.

The Royal Irish Rangers

The Royal Irish Rangers (27th (Inniskilling), 83rd and 87th) were formed on 1 July 1968 from the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, Royal Ulster Rifles and Royal Irish Fusiliers (Princess Victoria's).

The regiment carried forward the traditions and heritage of its antecedent regiments and served both at home and overseas as part of the British Army.

In 1992, the Royal Irish Rangers amalgamated with the Ulster Defence Regiment to form The Royal Irish Regiment, where their history and traditions continue today.

Frequently Asked Questions

At Precision Military Emblems, our military badges and emblems are produced using advanced precision 3D printing technology to create highly detailed reproductions of military insignia. Unlike many manufacturers who prioritise speed, we use refined print settings and slower production processes to minimise visible layer lines and maximise accuracy. Each badge is carefully finished and quality inspected to ensure exceptional detail, depth, and definition.

When choosing a 3D military display, it is important to consider the accuracy of the badge reproduction, the quality of the craftsmanship, and the materials used throughout the display. Look for highly detailed reproductions rather than mass-produced replicas. You should also ensure the manufacturer is authorised to reproduce military insignia where required. Precision Military Emblems operates under official Ministry of Defence (MOD) licensing where applicable, ensuring displays are produced responsibly and to a professional standard.

All Precision Military Emblems displays are individually made to order. Standard production lead times are typically 5–10 working days before dispatch. Because we use precision 3D printing with enhanced quality settings, production takes longer than many standard manufacturing methods. Once dispatched, UK orders are usually delivered within 1–3 working days. Tracking information is provided with every order.
